Job Summary:  The Congregational Recovery Outreach Coordinator assists in the development and implementation of the policies, practices, and program plans of the Congregational Recovery Outreach project. Connect with the community and provide ongoing services and assistance. Focuses on the delivery and evaluation of treatment options for individuals with mental illness and substance abuse.  Reports to the A&D Coordinator.

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Dependency, Psychology, Social Work or a related field required; previous experience in a chemical dependency treatment or mental health setting preferred. Previous experience working with substance abusers is highly desirable.  A Provisional Certification through the Department of Mental Health (PCCSS) must be acquired and documentation presented to Human Resources within 90 days from hire date (date in position) and (CCSS) must be obtained within to two (2) years from the date of issuance of provisional. Employee must demonstrate ability to recognize consumers’ individual needs based on medical conditions, age (infants, pediatrics, adolescents, young adults, middle-aged and geriatric), limitations and planned procedures. Good communication skills are necessary. Must have valid driver’s license in Mississippi and proof of auto insurance. This position has been determined to have an occasional or very low risk of occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
