Direct Care Worker – PRN Float Pool – Adult/C&Y CSU/Supervised Living
Job Summary: Seeking Direct Care Workers (DCW) who are available and willing to work as needed. The Float Pool DCW provides flexible, supplemental Direct Care staffing throughout multiple facilities including Adult CSU, Children & Youth CSU and Supervised Living. DCW’s will assist clients with transportation needs, physical care and daily program activities, general housekeeping assignments and assist with meal planning and preparation, as well as grocery shopping. Works closely with all other clinical staff (Activity therapists, Social Workers, Nurses) to conduct various process and specialty groups within the program.
Qualifications:Job Qualifications: High school graduate and 2 years of experience in a psychiatric or inpatient, residential, group home setting, any institutional setting/facility determined to be acceptable by the agency or a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college. Employee must demonstrate ability to recognize patients’ individual needs based on medical conditions, age (infants, pediatrics, adolescents, young adults, middle-aged and geriatric), limitations and planned procedures. Good communication skills are necessary. This position has been determined to have an occasional or very low risk of occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
