The Cedars

Hinds Behavioral Health Services elderly psychosocial rehabilitation is a program of structured activities designed to support and enhance the ability of seniors who have been diagnosed with a mental disorder or developmental disability. Activities are designed for those who need assistance with socialization, daily living skills, and structured activities.

Breakfast, snacks, and lunch are prepared for members every day. Transportation is provided within Jackson city limits to The Cedars as well as to Hinds Behavioral Health Services for doctor’s appointments.

Membership Requirements

• Individuals 50 years and older
• Members must receive a mental health assessment screening
• Members must receive a physical before becoming a member
• Diagnosis of mental disorder or developmental disability

Nursing Home Psychosocial Rehabilitation Program

Hinds Behavioral Health Services psychosocial rehabilitation is also available in some area nursing homes and assisted living communities. Groups meet in their community to participate in therapeutic activities. Please contact us if you are interested in having our therapist conduct psychosocial rehabilitation groups in your nursing home or assisted living community.
