Job Summary: Provide mental health assessments, evaluations and counseling for consumers and families of consumers in the PACT Program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, crisis intervention, acute psychiatric therapy, coordination of out consumer referral and provision of planned education/growth experiences. Reports to PACT Team Leader
Qualifications: Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or a related field and experience as a clinician is required. Must be licensed or certified as a mental health professional. A Provisional Certification (PCMHT) through the Department of Mental Health must be acquired and documentation presented to Human Resources within 90 days from hire date and (CMHT) must be obtained within to 2 years from the date of issuance of provisional certification. Ability to work as an effective team member; requires flexibility regarding working conditions and assignments. Good oral and written communication skills and thorough knowledge of psychiatric disorders and corresponding treatment. Employee must demonstrate ability to recognize consumers’ individual needs based on medical conditions, age (young adults, middle-aged and geriatric), limitations and planned procedures. Must have valid driver’s license in Mississippi and maintain proof of auto insurance. This position has been determined to have an occasional or very low risk of occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
