Job Summary: Performs a wide variety of building maintenance and custodial duties (carpentry, plumbing, painting, general cleaning, electrical, heating, and air conditioning, etc.) in order to provide a clean, orderly and safe environment. Assists with monitoring generators and fire extinguishers to ensure compliance, as well as plumbing, painting, and carpentry, and notifies supervisor of the need for minor/major repairs. Job duties also include but are not limited to: general custodial duties such as dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping all areas of the building, including lobbies and restrooms. It may require travel to multiple locations occasionally.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience in building maintenance and basic knowledge of cleaning methods and products required. Ability to lift, bend, push, and pull up to 25 lbs. Must have a valid (or ability to obtain/maintain) Mississippi Commercial driver’s license (Class D) with good driving history and proof of auto insurance. This position has been determined to have a low to moderate risk of occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
