Job Summary:

Perform data entry in computer database systems. Answer incoming phone calls and transfers them to appropriate extensions; act as receptionist for staff and consumers; and control traffic flow between consumers and physicians; Schedule consumer appointments and keeps daily schedules accurate. Perform cashier duties, handle accounts for all consumers, collect fee and payment information from consumers.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor degree preferred. Prior training or experience in a mental health setting preferred. Skills needed include answering telephones, maintaining filing systems and logs, scheduling appointments; proficiency in use of Microsoft office package. Employee must demonstrate ability to recognize consumers’ individual needs based on medical conditions, age (infants, pediatrics, adolescents, young adults, middle-aged and geriatric), limitations and planned procedures. This position has been determined to have an occasional or very low risk of occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens. Occasional prolonged standing and walking; lifts and moves supplies and equipment; mostly sedentary work.
