Job Summary: The Navigate/C&Y CSS Team Leader/Family Education Clinician provides direct clinical supervision to the NAVIGATE and CHILDREN’S TEAM while serving as the family education clinician. The team leader is primarily responsible for managing the NAVIGATE and C&Y CSS programs, including monitoring and improving the quality of services. He or she provides direct therapeutic care to assigned caseloads and also works with individuals both inside the organization and in the community to ensure that people with first-episode psychosis get referred to NAVIGATE. This position reports to the Coordinator of Children’s Services.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field required. At least three years of experience in a mental health field is required, which includes experience working with children. Previous supervisory experience is preferred. Must possess a mental health license or certification or be eligible for such. If without a current license, a Provisional Certification through the Department of Mental Health (PCMHT) must be acquired and documentation presented to Human Resources within 90 days from hire date and CMHT must be obtained within to 2 years from the date of issuance. Must have a valid driver’s license in Mississippi, proof of auto insurance, and be eligible for licensure/certification as a mental health. Employee must demonstrate the ability to recognize consumers’ individual needs based on medical conditions, age (infants, pediatrics, adolescents, and young adults, middle-aged and geriatric), limitations, and planned procedures. Good communication skills are necessary. This position has been determined to have an occasional or very low risk of occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
