Job Summary: HBHS is seeking a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Human Resources department!  Attention to Detail, Self-Motivated, Ability to Multitask, Prioritize, Team Oriented, and a Desire to Succeed!!  THIS IS AN ENTRY LEVEL POSITION.

The HR Assistant will assist the HR Manager in the facilitation of the recruiting process, new hire on-boarding, and new hire orientation.  Support Agency managers and staff with routine day-to-day HR questions, needs, and inquiries. Provide full administrative support including scanning, copying, filing, data entry, and other tasks as needed. Provides support in functional areas of the human resources department, which includes personnel records, certification and license tracking, employee relations, job evaluation, benefits administration, and training. Reports to the Human Resources Manager.  This is an hourly, non-exempt position.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent with additional training in business setting courses, or an Associate’s degree or one (1) or more years of experience in the Human Resource field or in a related area. Individual must be familiar with a variety of the Human Resource concepts, practices and procedures. Skills needed include computer and typing skills, ability to communicate with all levels of management. Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Relies on judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Be enthusiastic and adaptable as well as highly detail-oriented and data-efficient. This position has been determined to have an occasional or very low risk of occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
