Job Summary:Under the supervision of a Master-level Therapist, the intern will be responsible for providing mental health assessment, evaluation and counseling for consumers and families of consumers. Reports to Intern Supervisor.
Qualifications: Intern must be currently enrolled in a Clinical Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or Marriage and Family Therapy graduate program. Intern must purchase and maintain professional liability insurance for duration of internship. Intern must comply with all university expectations, complete assigned coursework, and provide Mental Health Intern Supervisor with information regarding field study requirements, evaluations and syllabi. Requires flexibility in working conditions and assignments; good oral and written communication skills and knowledge of psychiatric disorders and corresponding treatment. Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance (if performing school or home visits). This position has been determined to have an occasional or very low risk of occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
