Job Summary:
The Supervisor, Elderly Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services Program assists with administrative and clinical supervision of the Elderly Psychosocial Rehabilitation Program and staff. This position creates an environment conducive to high-quality consumer care and focuses on the delivery and evaluation of care. This position reports to the Coordinator of Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or a related field required, along with three years’ experience in a mental health services delivery setting and at least one year supervisory experience preferred. At least two years’ experience working with adults with serious emotional disorders is preferred, and may be concurrent with required experience. Must be licensed or credentialed as a mental health professional. Must have proof of auto insurance and a valid Mississippi driver’s license with good driving history. Employee must demonstrate ability to recognize consumers’ individual needs based on medical conditions, age (infants, pediatrics, adolescents, and young adults, middle-aged and geriatric), limitations and planned procedures. Good communication skills are necessary. This position has been determined to have an occasional or very low risk of occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
