Law Enforcement CIT Training

Law Enforcement Officers are encouraged to attend the upcoming Crisis Intervention Law Enforcement Training on June 18-22, 2018 at Hinds Behavioral Health Services. This training has been approved by the Department of Public Safety and it is free and open to any law enforcement officer (within Hinds County) seeking to learn more about mental illness. Upon completion of the 40-hour training officers will receive a CIT certification and uniform pin. Officers will become part of the MS Certified Crisis Intervention Team, which specializes in handling calls with individuals who have a mental illness.
