Rural Telehealth Services


Hinds Behavioral Health Services’ provides mental health services and parenting groups via telehealth for youth and families residing in rural Hinds County who are experiencing transportation barriers. A master’s level therapist and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner provide tele-mental health via video conferencing and phone calls, as needed, helping reduce emotional symptoms.

Eligibility

  • Youth living with serious emotional disorders and/or serious mental illness and transportation barriers within rural Hinds County, MS
  • Youth and families with 2 or more missed psych and/or group appointments over the last 3 months

We Offer

  • Mental health evaluations & medication management
  • Group & multi-family therapy
  • Parenting classes & parenting sessions
  • Referrals to case management, peer support, & other community resources
