Job Summary: The Intensive Community Support Specialist functions as a case manager in the community to engage consumers who have traditionally been managed in psychiatric hospitals with serious and persistent mental disorders. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing multiple services per week as needed in the community in order to provide comprehensive outreach and consumer identification. Frequent assessment, planning, direct service intervention, monitoring and follow up to facilitate outpatient treatment compliance of individuals who have received a pre-evaluation screening ordered by Chancery Court. Reports to Coordinator of Community Support Services.
Qualifications:Job Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or a related field required with at least 3 years of previous experience in a mental health setting. A Provisional Certification through the Department of Mental Health (PCCSS) must be acquired and documentation presented to Human Resources within 90 days from hire date and (CCSS) must be obtained within 2 years from the date of hire. Employee must demonstrate ability to recognize consumers’ individual needs based on medical conditions, age, limitations and planned procedures. Good communication skills are necessary. Must have valid driver’s license in Mississippi and proof of auto insurance. This position has been determined to have an occasional or very low risk of occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens.

Job Summary: The custodian/housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the building both inside and out. This includes sweeping and mopping using cleaning solutions, brooms, and mops, as well as dusting offices. The custodian/housekeeper is also responsible for cleaning outside walkways and entranceways and maintaining an inventory of supplies. Any major repairs needed should be reported to the supervisor. Job Summary: Performs a wide variety of building maintenance and custodial duties (carpentry, plumbing, painting, general cleaning, electrical, heating, and air conditioning, etc.) in order to provide a clean, orderly and safe environment. To achieve this, the Peer Bridger engages with the individual before their release from short-term crisis or inpatient hospitalization. They coordinate activities that help build trust-based relationships, which foster hope for positive change and personal empowerment, critical for maintaining recovery. After release, the Peer Bridger provides ongoing support and connections to community resources, helping the individual return to a healthy and fulfilling life. This position reports to the Coordinator of Adult Services.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Must be a current or former consumer; or first degree family member of an individual who has received treatment for and self-identifies as a consumer or former mental health consumer. Must have demonstrated a minimum of six (6) months, preferably twelve (12) months, in self-directed recovery. Mississippi Department of Mental Health Peer Support Specialist Certification is preferred as well as successful completion of the required Peer Bridger Training.
