Job Summary: Seeking Full-time Direct Care Workers (DCW) for our 24-7 Supervised Living House which operates on three (3) shifts per day. The DCW functions as a Psychiatric Technician/Mental Health Worker who assist residents with transportation needs, physical care and daily program activities along with general housekeeping assignments, meal planning and preparation, as well as grocery shopping.
Qualifications: High school diploma and two (2) years of experience in a psychiatric or inpatient, residential, group home setting, any institutional setting/facility determined to be acceptable by the agency or a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college. Employee must demonstrate ability to recognize consumers’ individual needs based on medical conditions, age (infants, pediatrics, adolescents, young adults, middle-aged and geriatric), limitations and planned procedures. Good communication skills are necessary. Must have valid driver’s license in Mississippi and proof of auto insurance. This position has been determined to have an occasional or very low risk of occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
