Job Summary:Under the supervision of a Case Management Team Leader and assigned Case Manager, Intern will be responsible for assisting with caseload of adults with serious and persistent mental disorders or children with emotional/behavioral/conduct disorders and their families. Reports to Intern Supervisor.
Qualifications: Intern must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor level Behavioral Health Program. Intern must purchase and maintain professional liability insurance for duration of internship. Intern must comply with all university expectations, complete assigned coursework, and provide Mental Health Intern Supervisor with information regarding field study requirements, evaluations and syllabi. Requires flexibility in working conditions and assignments; good oral and written communication skills and knowledge of psychiatric disorders and corresponding treatment. Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance (if performing school or home visits). This position has been determined to have an occasional or very low risk of occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens.

Job Summary: Works in collaboration with a physician and mental health therapist to assess the needs of the individual in crisis and to implement a plan of care. Functions as a Case Manager for an assigned caseload of adults with serious and persistent mental disorders. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, responding to crisis calls in the community, supporting, developing and/or applying the treatment/service plan and facilitating compliance. Serves as a member of appropriate interdisciplinary treatment team.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or a related field required; previous experience in a mental health setting preferred. A Provisional Certification through the Department of Mental Health (PCCSS) must be acquired and documentation presented to Human Resources within 90 days from hire date and (CSSS) must be obtained within two (2) years from the date provisional certification is obtained. Employee must demonstrate ability to recognize consumers’ individual needs based on medical conditions, age (infants, pediatrics, adolescents, and young adults, middle-aged and geriatric), limitations and planned procedures. Good communication skills are necessary. Must have valid driver’s license in Mississippi and proof of auto insurance. This position has been determined to have an occasional or very low risk of occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens.

Job Summary: The Peer Specialist will perform a wide range of tasks to assist peers of all ages in regaining independence within the community and mastery over their own recovery process. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, serving as role models to peers, helping other consumers with skill building, goal setting, problem-solving and finding resources. Reports to Mobile Crisis Team Lead.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Must be a current or former consumer, or first degree family member of an individual who has received treatment for and self-identifies as a consumer or former mental health consumer. Must have demonstrated a minimum of six (6) months, preferably twelve (12) months, in self-directed recovery. Must have completed at least one of the DMH recognized peer training programs such as, Family-to-Family or Family Time Out. Must successfully pass the Certified Peer Support Specialist after completion of training. Good communication skills are necessary. This position has been determined to have an occasional or very low risk of occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
