Job Summary:
As a member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, documenting, and reporting on client cases. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in assisting our therapists with program planning and implementation. You will also provide clerical support as needed to ensure the smooth operation of our program. Your work will be vital in helping us achieve our mission of providing top-quality services to children and youth in need. This position reports directly to the Coordinator of Children & Youth Services.
Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required with two years’ work experience, preferably in a mental health or other health related setting. Previous experience as an aide or specialist in a setting with children is highly desirable. Employee must demonstrate ability to recognize patients’ individual needs based on psychiatric conditions, age (pediatrics, adolescents), limitations, and planned procedures. Good oral and written communication skills are necessary. Must have a valid Mississippi driver’s license and proof of auto insurance. This position has been determined to have an occasional or very low risk of occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens.

Job Summary: The Peer Specialist will perform a wide range of tasks to assist peers of all ages in regaining independence within the community and mastery over their own recovery process. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, serving as role models to peers, helping other consumers with skill building, goal setting, problem-solving and finding resources. Reports to Mobile Crisis Team Lead.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Must be a current or former consumer, or first degree family member of an individual who has received treatment for and self-identifies as a consumer or former mental health consumer. Must have demonstrated a minimum of six (6) months, preferably twelve (12) months, in self-directed recovery. Must have completed at least one of the DMH recognized peer training programs such as, Family-to-Family or Family Time Out. Must successfully pass the Certified Peer Support Specialist after completion of training. Good communication skills are necessary.
